Ground FX Flooring has always been based on convenience. Ground FX takes pride in taking that extra step to ensure quality. Experienced customer service support shows our dedication.

We have become familiar with customer frustrations in shopping for flooring. Something fun and exciting quickly turns overwhelming. Always the same frustrations: selection process, customer service, and communication. It’s frustrating when the person showing you flooring doesn’t know anything about what they’re trying to sell you. We saw the opportunity to streamline the process. Ground FX Flooring opened Southern Illinois’ first shop-at-home flooring store in January 2012.

Instead of a traditional flooring store we created the first Mobile Design Center in the Midwest! With one phone call our 29 foot showroom would pull up to the clients home delivering over 2,000 flooring samples. Customers could compare samples directly in the space it was intended to be installed. Convenience. With this concept the business flourished.

Within a few short years we added more layers to our business. Ground FX introduced epoxy coatings here in the Tri-State area. Ground FX teamed up with CTM Coatings, the leading epoxy manufacturer. We became the fourth CTM Distribution Hub in the US. We service coating installers for the surrounding Midwest states. Ground FX Flooring now operates out of a 20,000 square foot space that houses a wide selection of epoxies, concrete coating and polishing systems, equipment, sundries, and supplies. Ground FX is the territory distributor for Maverick Surface Preparations, Metabo, ASL, EZ Polish, Surecrete, Torginol, EZ Chem, and Ballistix. A One-Stop-Shop!

Meet The Rise & Grind Team

 

My name is Mark Novoa, President, and founder of Ground FX Flooring. I have made a career in the flooring industry. I started out as a warehouse kid in a local carpet store at the age of sixteen. From there I was invited to join an installation team as an apprentice. It did not take long to realize the benefits of being my own boss. At nineteen I became a legitimate insured flooring contractor working for various box stores.

In 2010 I met my future wife. After the birth of our triplets I was highly motivated to take my skills to the next level. With the support of my wife we opened Ground FX Flooring in January 2012.

My passion is providing for my family. I feel truly fortunate and blessed to have had the opportunity to further my career. We have come a long way. Starting in a single car garage to operating a 20,000 square foot warehouse. We dug our faith into God, and He opened all the right doors.
Here at Ground FX Flooring I dedicate myself to servicing our customers. Every day is different; from job estimates, creating invoices, ordering supplies, to problem solving and putting out fires.

I feel an immense amount of pride when I pull up to my shop every day. Knowing where we started and seeing all our growth fills me with overwhelming emotions of accomplishment. I love what I do. I love my team. I’m looking forward to the future of our business.

FUN FACT: I have a degree in funeral directing and embalming from Worsham Mortuary College! After giving birth to triplets my husband approached me with his unique vision of a flooring store. I was nervous and excited, but ready to take on this adventure alongside him.

Here at Ground FX Flooring I cover the Accounts Payable/Receivable, customer service, and office management. My favorite, however, is helping customers on the showroom floor. I have a knack for matching colors and pulling certain tones together to transition existing flooring to new flooring. Whether it’s a full remodel or a smaller area, I want each customer to know they have my complete attention. It’s so rewarding to see the customers excitement after finding the perfect flooring.

Lucy has many years of office management experience. She has implemented different programs to help mainstream our business. If Lucy doesn’t have an answer, she is sure to find one! She has her hand in everything behind-the-scenes. She is very detail oriented and is thorough in all she does. She handles all invoice processing, filing, and reports. Her time management skills ensure smoother and more efficient work production. Lucy serves as a valued support role within our company.
